Max is a litigation lawyer whose practice is focused exclusively on ICBC claims and other personal injury matters. He joined Mussio Goodman after working as a partner at one of the largest law firms in the Okanagan Valley, and brings with him over 12 years of experience successfully representing injured clients in all levels of British Columbia court. He has extensive experience in traumatic injury claims involving brain, spinal cord and orthopaedic injuries.
Max was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2006 after earning both his Bachelor of Science (2001, genetics) and Bachelor of Law (2005) degrees at UBC, and working at a biotech company researching potential therapies for Alzheimer’s disease.
In addition to being a powerful advocate for his clients both in and out of court, Max is a compassionate and caring person who works diligently to resolve his clients’ claims quickly and effectively. He is well-known for truly listening to his clients and for being responsive and thoughtful in his approach.
Max is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the President of O’Keefe Ranch & Interior Heritage Society, and the District PAC representative for his children’s school. In the past he has served as President of the North Okanagan Parks and Natural Areas Trust, President of the Okanagan Science and Discovery Society, Secretary of the Vernon Bar Association, and Director of the Vernon Public Art Gallery.
In 2016, Max received the honour of being recognized as one of Greater Vernon’s Top Twenty Under 40 most-influential business people.
When he is not working on his clients’ behalf, Max enjoys spending time outdoors with his family on the cattle ranch he grew up on, as well as camping and back-country hiking throughout the province.
